 Lonely City

Unusually for me 'Lonely City' was a poem written to order for Claire Askew's project this collection. The video that accompanied it was produced by the Canadian filmmaker Lewis Bennett based on a narrative I wrote and (even more unusually for me) narrated.  Lowest Common Denominator

I don't write my poems to be read aloud normally. I have nothing against those poets who do but I'm not particularly comfortable doing it. And so I don't. This poem, however, I always imagined being read by a robotic voice so I was delighted when I stumbled across this little program that enabled me to have an actual robot do the reading.

 Your Statutory Rights are Not Affected

Having enjoyed creating the video for 'Lowest Common Denominator' this second poem seemed suitable for a similar adaptation. I would like to do more but they take up a lot of time.
